Japan looks to Martian moon for past life

The Japanese space agency JAXA will search for past Martian life with its planned launch of the Martian Moons eXploration mission. The spacecraft will land on the larger of Mars' two moons, Phobos, and collect a sample before returning to Earth in 2029.
